When it comes to a wonderful boudoir photography experience, what you wear sets the tone for your entire session. That's why I love sessions that involve using revealing lingerie. It's important to wear something that makes you feel sexy and confident. I make sure to use each outfit almost as a blank slate, allowing me to work my magic with light and posing. I also make sure to pick out the right angles in order for your beauty to shine through in each photo. This is exactly what I did for Liz & her boudoir session.
Liz's session took place at my studio in downtown Buffalo, NY. Although that location may sound ordinary, I was able to pull off magic by using some unique lighting and posing techniques. Liz was such a pleasure to work with! She has brains, beauty & is also very confident. I knew her session was going to turn out great because she had confidence in me and my abilities as a photographer.
I'm not kidding either when I say that each outfit is like a blank slate. There's an entire story behind each piece of clothing, but I'm not going to give it all away. The end result is the only thing that really matters anyway, and I think it turned out absolutely lovely! Here are some images from Liz's session:

So I want to take THIS week as an opportunity to connect with you outside of the holidays and being bombarded by a million ads and get vulnerable with you.
To ask you…
How can you give yourselves MORE pleasure, DEEPER intimacy, and LESS stress?
Does this look like more time spent in nature or slowly sipping on a warm cup of tea, tasting and feeling every sweet drop on your tongue. Or maybe it's completely changing your perspective from "I have to" to "I get to" when you are doing the chores or tasks you loath. Or, could it be choosing to let go of the friend and family that give you the most drama and heavy heart.
I did just this. Last year, I made a commitment to myself- and it was a really big one!
I decided I would no longer live with the thorn of guilty and shame around my lack of intimacy and sexuality.
Yeah, you might be surprised by that one.
But, this thorn was so cork screwed inside of me that I cried at the thought of it being gone, Bc I had no idea what it would feel like to live without it.
Isn’t that crazy?! It was almost more comfortable to live with the discomfort than to remove it.
WILD
And I’ll tell you now, a year later- that the hardest part of all this was the CHOICE to no longer live with the guilt, shame, and trauma of intimacy and my sexuality.
It took me committing to this YES in order to crack wide open and completely surrendered to my pleasure and desires. All while also removing any of the guilt I carried for being a sexual being.
